Things I've done

Baked cookies (twice now - had to bake an emergency batch for watching GBBO!)

Found the cutest tearoom while out with Holly in Stockport and had a scone and a berry tea for lunch

Took a bright pink bubble bath

Watched a movie with mountains of popcorn

Saw the cute bunting in our kitchen window from the outside

Browsed Heaton Moor Market and tasted treats and bought a cute pair of earrings

In the kitchen

The other day Holly and I decided it was time to do some roommate baking.
After a quick trip across the road for some ingredients, we got to work whipping up a few batches of muffins.
Carrot apple for me, banana chocolate chip for Holly.
(It's kind of hard not to take a nibble out of them every time I pass by the kitchen)

After breakfast, Rory and I took to strolling around Edinburgh. Hitting up some tourist spots as well as a few of Rory's favorite vintage shops (Armstrongs is amazing!), I decided at some point during my time in the UK I need to live in that Scottish city! 

 We had dinner with his dad and then went for a beautiful sunset drive along the seaside to a beach where we walked his and his cousin's dogs. 

 Edinburgh was such a relaxed weekend. It was nice spending so much time with family, even if that family wasn't my own! 

I need to make impromptu trips more often. I think they're good for the soul.

Little lunch

Sunday afternoon Holly and I went into Manchester for the afternoon. We spent the day browsing at vintage shops, Holly getting an impromptu piercing and then lastly, a late lunch at Sugar Junction.

Totally up my alley, it was sort of shabby chic shop with mismatched dishes and menus in books. Holly had a veggie panini and I had a salad and their pea & mint soup (served in a teacup!) and it was completely delicious.

We were a little too full afterwards for tea and cake, but I'll definitely be back there for some another time!
