How to have a lovely Thursday Afternoon:

1. Wear shorts because it is hot hot hot out (yay, Summer!)
2. Head to Brick Lane after work
3. Meet up with the sweetest girls (CharlotteMelodie and Abigail) at the coolest cafe (Kahaila!)
4. Order a cake and an iced coffee for your dinner because you are a responsible adult
5. Have long chats about weddings, Disney movies, cheese, baking and moving to other countries
6. Wander through the streets of London
7. Attempt selfies on windy bridges with the sun in your eyes
8. Finally get a (pretty) decent one
9. Laugh until your face hurts because all the non-decent ones are ridiculously bad
10. Go home with a happy heart

Fin.

Tiff Takes London

Look! Tiff is here! My friend from good ol' Canada is traveling Europe for the summer and has popped into London for a week visit.

Started her trip off with a bang - Katy Perry at the O2. I bought tickets in November hoping I'd have someone to go with come May and it couldn't have worked out better! It was so exciting. I love Katy Perry. Even more after she flew through the audience attached to balloons and entered one set on a giant gold and pink horse.

Started our Saturday at Brockley Market with amazing bacon avocado sandwiches served to us by some extremely handsome bearded men (at a stall which for the life of me I cannot remember the name of).

And then cake, of course.

Took a stroll up the mall after a stop in Trafalgar Square to head towards Buckhingham Palace. Tiff has never been to London so we're really hitting up all the tourist hot spots, which, I have to say, is so much fun and lately I've been forgetting to be a tourist here. Remedying that starting immediately!
Don't I look so tall in that picture?

Felt a bit warm and tired from all the walking so refueled in Green Park with some ciders and strawberries we bought at Brockley Market that morning.

Saturday night Rory came bearing pineapple and pink bubbly.

Sunday took us to Brick Lane once we woke up - quite late, I may add. (I may have lied earlier. There were four bottles Saturday night).

Luckily we cured ourselves with falafel (me) and fish and chips (Tiff's first in London!). Add in some fresh juices and we were ready for Sunday.

Strolled down Columbia Road flower market since we were in the area, laughing at all the sellers shouting "ONE FER THREE PAUND, TWO FER FIVE! TWO FER FIIIIIIVE".

Then Tiff had an important phone call to make before we headed home, a bit exhausted from weekending.
